This network represents contractor that work together, and a network of contractors that work together repeatedly. The data for this network was collected from the city’s documents on building permits. When the network was initially built it was very sparse. Most contractors are only connected to one other contractor. Therefore after the full network was constructed, we down scoped the network to include contractors with at least 3 common connections.
While there are several contractors who work together often, there is also a larger ‘web’ of contractors who appear to work in a group on projects.
